Pelligra SA OPEN | GLENELG BEACH | January 10-12 2025
The Pelligra SA Open is Australia's longest-running beach volleyball tournament, with over 40 years of history.
Held on Glenelg Beach the first event of the year attracts big names year after year Including a wealth of homegrown South Australian talent.
Held over the weekend of Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th of January 2025, the Pelligra SA Open will provide much more than just the Open with plenty of fun for everyone.
Volleyball SA will be running clinics for kids, social competitions, ball hire, and much more all in the lead-up and around the prestigious Pelligra SA Open.
It's free to come and watch so get down to the bay this summer and catch some of the world's best beach volleyballers in action!
Friday 10th January: Qualifiers into Div1 (Preliminary Inquiry 11pm, first matches commence at 12pm)
Saturday 11th January: Pool Play (all day, start at 7.30am)
Sunday 12th January: Finals (start at 8am, last grand final scheduled for 3.30pm)

PLEASE be aware that the SEEDING is subject to change until the draw is published on Friday after the Qualifier !!!
All athletes are required to be a FULL Volleyball SA member (or equivalent interstate membership*) to be eligible to participate in the Pelligra SA OPEN.
* Interstate Teams and Players : please register as CASUAL (or renew your previous membership as CASUAL). You will be able to Nominate (as every other team) via the same link below. Requirement : please provide evidence of your home state current membership before the end of the nomination deadline as screenshot via email to: tom.k@volleyballsa.com.au

ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Every nominated Div1 Qualification Team will be able to play in Div2 (or Div3 pending nominations) if unsuccesful. You may also choose to nominate directly into Div2/3/... if you are not available to play the Qualifier on Friday.

PLEASE be aware that on Friday 10th the ''Glenelg Ice Cream Festival'' in happening on Jetty Road. Several streets will be closed !!!
PLEASE also be aware that on Saturday 11th the ''Tour Down Under'' will start at Glenelg Colley Terrace. Several streets will be closed !!!
UNIFORMS
Uniforms will be provided to all Division 1 teams by VSA. Division 2 (and all other Divisions) teams must supply their own uniforms, these uniforms must be matching.
Refer to 4.6 in the above Rules & Regulations for additional information:
4.6.1 Div1 Athletes must wear the official top/singlet provided by the Pelligra SA Open at all times;
during a match, on the field of play, during official warm-up periods, during
post-match interviews, during the medal ceremony and during press
conferences.
4.6.1.1 If no uniform is provided/required (Div2 and other), players may choose to wear their own
tops however they must be of the same style and colour and do not
require numbers.
4.6.2 Men and women must provide their own shorts/bikini bottoms. Teams must
wear shorts/bikini bottoms of the same colour and style.
