Volleyball South Australia celebrated the achievements of its Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC) athletes and coaches at the 2026 AYVC Awards Night, held on Friday, 23 October, at the Top of the Ark at the Arkaba Hotel.

Bringing together 120+ attendees for a sit-down celebration, the evening recognised the outstanding performances, dedication and team spirit of those who represented South Australia at the AYVC in Perth from 20-25 September. Hosted by MC Jason Rivett, the night provided an opportunity to reflect on the championships and acknowledge the individuals who made the experience memorable.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the major awards, recognising excellence in coaching, leadership and sportsmanship. Sam Huddleston received the 2026 Sophia Naismith SA Spirit Award, while Nicholas Rogers was named Emerging Coach of the Year and Luke Huddleston received the Assistant Coach of the Year award.

The Players’ Player Awards recognised athletes who earned the respect and appreciation of their teammates across all age groups. Meanwhile, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards acknowledged individual performances that stood out throughout the championships.
