2 July 2026
Performance Our People CompetitiveVolleyball South Australia is proud to announce the continuation and renewal of its successful partnership with Freemasons SA/NT for 2026, with a funding commitment of $203,500 (inclusive of GST) to support the ongoing growth and development of volleyball across South Australia.
Building on the significant impact of the partnership over the past two years, the renewed investment will provide support to affiliated clubs and associations through funding for venue hire and the continuation of the highly successful Freemasons SA/NT x Volleyball South Australia Regional Roadshow. Since first partnering in 2024, Freemasons SA/NT have played a pivotal role in strengthening volleyball communities across the state. Their generous support has enabled Volleyball South Australia's Platinum and Gold affiliated clubs and associations to access financial assistance, helping to secure quality facilities and support the rapid growth of participation in the sport.
The partnership will also see the continuation of the highly successful Freemasons SA/NT x Volleyball South Australia Regional Roadshow, which delivered outstanding outcomes throughout 2025. The roadshow provided regional communities with valuable development opportunities through referee and coaching workshops, coaching clinics, school engagement programs, and talent identification activities. More than 700 participants engaged with Volleyball South Australia through the 2025 Regional Roadshow, helping to strengthen local volleyball communities and create new development opportunities for players, coaches, and officials. Building on the success of the initiative, the program will continue in 2026, further expanding participation opportunities and supporting the ongoing growth of volleyball across regional communities.
Volleyball South Australia Chief Executive Officer, Karla Della Pietra, said the renewal of the partnership represents a shared commitment to creating stronger communities through sport. "The support provided by Freemasons SA/NT has already delivered significant benefits to our clubs and regional communities, and we are excited to build on this success in 2026 through expanded participation opportunities, improved facility access, and continued investment in community development," Ms Della Pietra said. "Partnerships such as this are instrumental in ensuring the ongoing growth and sustainability of volleyball across South Australia, while also creating meaningful opportunities for communities to connect, participate, and thrive through sport." Applications for the 2026 Freemasons SA/NT Club Grant Program will open in September 2026.
Volleyball South Australia looks forward to continuing this valued partnership in 2026 and further cementing Freemasons SA/NT as a key contributor to the growth and success of volleyball across South Australia.
