Assistant Coaches Announced for 2026 Pelligra Adelaide Storm

We are pleased to announce the appointment of assistant coaches for the Pelligra Adelaide Storm teams ahead of the 2026 Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League season.
Kelly Porter and Nathan “Wombat” McLeod have been confirmed as assistant coaches for the men’s team, while Taj Paterson will take on the assistant coach role for the women’s team.
All three coaches bring valuable experience and energy to the Storm teams, positioning both teams well for the upcoming season.
Nathan McLeod returns to the coaching group following his role as head coach of the men’s team last season. His familiarity with the squad and leadership experience will be instrumental in supporting their growth.
“Super excited to be around the group again this year and to have Dez back at the reins,” Nathan said.
“Working with the group has always been a highlight of the year and the inclusion of Kel last year into the coaching group was awesome. The guys are already coming together well and looking to build into the 2026 season strongly.”
Kelly Porter also returns after serving as assistant coach for the men’s team last year, continuing to provide an elite coaching experience within the high-performance environment.
“So happy and grateful to be back with this team again,” Kelly said.
“An opportunity for me to keep learning the men’s game but also use my experiences to help bring this group together for a stronger 2026 campaign.”
Joining the women’s program, Taj Paterson steps into the assistant coach role, bringing enthusiasm and a strong desire to contribute to a talented playing group.
“I’m extremely excited to be working with such a talented and inspiring group of players and coaches,” Paterson said.
“Being given this role is such a tremendous opportunity and I’m looking forward to getting to work with everyone.”
With a strong and connected coaching group in place, the Pelligra Adelaide Storm are well positioned to continue building towards a competitive and successful 2026 AVSL season.
