
SA Gets Gold, Silver and Bronze at AJVC 2025!

Performance Juniors CompetitiveSouth Australian Teams made their mark at the 2025 Australian Junior Volleyball Championships.
From 10–13 July, the Lights Community and Sports Centre in Adelaide played host to the 2025 Australian Junior Volleyball Championships (AJVC).
South Australia fielded six teams in this year's competition, with a side in each of the following divisions: U19 Men, U19 Women, U21 Men, U21 Women, U23 Men, and U23 Women. Our state athletes rose to the challenge, delivering strong performances across the board and bringing home an impressive medal haul.

U23 Women – Gold Medal
South Australia's U23 Women dominated from start to finish, going undefeated throughout the tournament to claim a well-deserved gold on home soil.
U21 Women – Silver Medal
A strong campaign saw the U21 Women battle their way to the final, bringing home silver after a closely contested run.
U19 Women – Bronze Medal
In a five-set thriller, the U19 Women dug deep to claim bronze, showcasing grit, composure, and the kind of fight that defines South Aussie volleyball.

Speaking to Phil Im after his team's bronze win, here's what he had to say, "We worked hard for it, we won and we are so excited for this result. Our mentality got us through in the 5th set."
Head Coach of the U23 Women, Taj Paterson, had the following to add, "It feels really good as a team. It was all about self sacrifice - doing it for each other and for everyone that came to watch us."
A Sea of Red and Blue
The atmosphere inside the venue was electric, with South Australian supporters making their presence felt loud and clear. Decked out in red and blue, families, friends, and fans filled the stands with energy and pride throughout the four days of action. Their vocal backing lifted spirits and kept our teams firing right until the end.

The 2025 AJVC not only showcased our state’s rising talent but also reflected the strength of the volleyball community here in South Australia — from the athletes and coaches to the families and volunteers who support them.
