We are excited to announce the launch of our new initiative, with thanks to the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, "Advancing Women and Girls in Volleyball Coaching & Officiating." This program aims to increase the number and expertise of women and girls in volleyball coaching and officiating roles. Through workshops, free accreditations, and personalised 1:1 mentoring sessions, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that enables women and girls to thrive in these leadership positions.
Program Overview
We are offering free coaching and referee accreditations to women and girls accepted into the program. Our program will also include targeted workshops and support designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required for coaching and officiating.
To become a part of the program, you must submit your interest through a nomination process. Approximately 100 women and girls will be accepted into the program.
Why This Initiative Matters
The lack of representation of women and girls in volleyball coaching and officiating is a significant issue that restricts diversity and hinders the potential growth of the sport. Empowering women and girls in these roles not only advances gender equality but also brings diverse perspectives and talents to the volleyball community. This initiative aims to provide women and girls with the necessary skills to coach and officiate at all levels and for all genders in volleyball. This will contribute to positive change and development within the sport.
Thank you to the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing
We are excited about this project's potential to meaningfully impact the volleyball community. By empowering women and girls through this initiative, we are paving the way for a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant future for volleyball.
