Adelaide Spikers: "We are extremely grateful for the Freemasons/VSA grant in covering the costs of hiring our gym and equipment for approx. 8 weeks. These funds will ensure we can continue to provide valuable opportunities for the LGBTQIA+ community to thrive on and off the court." - President Beau Warren
Norwood Bears: "Norwood Bears are very thankful to have received this grant of $15,000 from the Freemasons Foundation, through the associated effort of Volleyball SA. The funds will allow us to improve the facilities and coaches that are available to our players at all levels. These improvements will help us to promote the sport and train the volleyball stars of tomorrow." - President Alex Costales
This funding enables clubs to enhance their facilities, develop programs, and invest in community engagement, aligning with VSA's strategic objectives to promote inclusivity and foster growth within the sport.
Karla Della Pietra, CEO of Volleyball SA, emphasised the significance of the collaboration, stating, "This partnership brings together two organisations committed to positively impacting their communities and fostering growth and development in the sport of volleyball."
Boyd Sparrow, Grand Secretary of Freemasons SA & NT, echoed this sentiment, "we are proud to partner with Volleyball SA, promoting inclusion and diversity through community cohesion at a grassroots club level".
As these grants are distributed and initiatives take shape, the collaborative efforts of VSA and the Freemasons promise to propel volleyball in South Australia to greater heights, empowering clubs to thrive and communities to flourish.
