A platinum-affiliate club with over five decades of history in South Australia, Austral’s women’s program has produced players that have gone on to represent Australia at the highest levels of competition.
Club President Harrison Paay says the successful candidate will help shape the Austral women’s program, supporting club culture and player development while working with coaches from other divisions.
“We are a club that prioritises growth and opportunities for our members both on the court and as a community,” he says.
“This is an exciting opportunity to guide and mentor a talented group of athletes, which includes current state, Australian Volleyball League and national team players, on their journey back to the finals.”
Volleyball South Australia CEO Karla Della-Pietra says the role is not only pivotal for the club but also one that can have a wider impact.
“The Austral Volleyball Club is a valued part of South Australia’s volleyball community, with a passionate and loyal member base,” she says.
“This role provides more than just an opportunity to join an experienced club; it’s also a chance to support and further develop women’s sport across the state.”
The Austral Volleyball Club is accepting expressions of interest for the role of Women’s Head Coach until close of business February 2, 2024.
Applicants must have a coaching accreditation or a willingness to obtain a coaching accreditation (Level 2 required).
