AUSTRALIAN MEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM SELECTION!

Volleyball South Australia is incredibly proud to congratulate South Australian Libero, Jackson Holland, on his Australian National Team selection. Jackson will be representing Australia in the AVC Challenge Cup held in Chinese Taipei from July 8th to 15th.

We had the opportunity to catch up with Jackson to hear how he is feeling leading into the tournament. Jackson has said, "I feel very honoured to be selected in the volleyroos team. It’s not just myself that I’m representing but, my school, my family and all the people who have helped me get here."

Jackson and the Volleyroos Men are currently in Thailand for a 6-day training block, after spending the last month training together at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, with big goals in mind. Jackson told us, “we are going to the tournament to win. That has been the goal since the start of this year and everyone’s buying into that goal."

Winning this tournament would qualify the Volleyroos for the 2023 FIVB Challenger Cup in late July in Qatar, but would also open up the opportunity to requalify for the 2024 Volleyball Nations League.

With great ambition for the season and beyond, Jackson has said himself and the team, "are constantly motivated to get better as a group and a country and move up in the world rankings."
