Board Director: Becchara Palmer

Becchara Palmer is a former Australian beach volleyball player and Olympian, who represented her country at the 2012 London Olympics. Throughout her playing career, Becchara forged a career in digital marketing with a passion for using creativity and data insights to deliver impactful marketing initiatives. Having recently retired from professional beach volleyball after 18 years, Becchara now runs a digital marketing business, consolidating her experiences in Brand and Marketing Management through various industries, including health insurance, tech start-ups, tertiary education, and digital agencies.

As a Board Director for Volleyball South Australia, Becchara brings her professional experience in high-performance sport, branding and digital marketing along with an athlete lens to challenges and opportunities.

“It’s a really exciting time for volleyball (both indoor and beach) in South Australia. It’s an honour to have been elected to the VSA Board and given the opportunity to contribute in a small way to the sport that has given me so much over the past 20 years. I look forward to working with the rest of the board, and VSA leadership to continue growing our sport at all levels.”
