Sporting Schools is Australia's largest school-based sports participation program to help children foster a life-long interest in Sport. Sporting Schools will engage more children in more sport-based activity within schools and then convert their interest to club-based settings.
Funding is available to schools to engage quality coaches to deliver sporting programs and clinics developed by partnered sports. These activities can be delivered before, during and after school.
Volleyball Australia and Volleyball South Australia have partnered with Sporting Schools and are the recognised provider of Volleyball in Australia and South Australia respectively.
Volleyball SA are always looking at recruiting coaches to help deliver Volleyball Sporting Schools Program. In order to register successfully as a Sporting Schools Coaches you will need a current working with children check as well as a minimum Foundation (Level 1) Coaching Accreditation. Teachers are able to run Sporting School programs themselves, however, they are required to be a registered Sporting Schools Coach (complete the above accreditations) and also a member of Volleyball SA.
The Sporting Schools program is open to all primary schools Australia wide. Please visit the Sporting Schools website to register, to apply for funding and for all information. Once your grant has been lodged contact the VSA office to arrange your custom package.
Please note there is a $132 administration fee for all programs.
