Brothers Together Finally!

Harrison (Harry)  Peacock and Cooper Peacock have been playing Volleyball at the highest levels since they were very young. Cooper actually started playing because of Harry and his sister Jess. He played  at multiple National Schools Cups, on Indoor and Beach State Teams and was a member of the SASI volleyball program which is now morphed into the SA Volleyball Academy. He has been an exciting regular in the  Norwood line-up at State League and this will be his 5th year playing in the AVL for the Adelaide Storm. Harry was also in the SASI volleyball program then moved to the AIS after high school. He represented SA through many Junior State Teams and  has been playing professionally overseas since 2010. He has proudly represented Australia with the Volleyroos since 2010.

Despite both Peacock’s being such accomplished volleyballers, there haven’t been many opportunities for them to play together. They try to train together a few times a year when Harry is in Adelaide but they have only played one Beach event together in 2013 and a couple times at State League, last time being in 2010. Both are looking forward to this opportunity to play together in the AVL finals series.

Harrison talked about the upcoming Championships on the eve of the trip to Melbourne, “Excited to finally get the opportunity to play together again. I have followed Cooper’s State League games, watched a game here and there and seen him develop as a player but haven’t had the opportunity to play with him in a long time. Especially since I’m a setter and he’s an outside hitter we will be playing directly together which is going to be great fun. I’m excited to see what we can do.”

Cooper was quick to add his approval of the connection, “I'm looking forward to playing with Harrison and experiencing the impact he will make in the AVL team. We play the game a similar way, we like to take risks and play a fun style so with a brotherly connection I'm excited to see how we will go. The guy's are already enjoying his impact and so am I.”
