Special Programs

There are a variety of specialist programs and events that run to cater for specific player groups and Volleyball South Australia are proud to work with other organisations to support our combined objectives. Volleyball can be played at all levels and provides various opportunities for athletes and players from all backgrounds, cultures, physical disabilities and skill levels. Some of the specialist programs available are listed below (click for more information):

D-Volleyball can be either sitting or standing volleyball. It is aimed at both disabled and able-bodied players to encourage everyone to take part in the great sport of Volleyball.

Multicultural Volleyball is a program that Volleyball SA run which encourages communities that are new to Australia the chance to be introduced to Volleyball and then further develop and hone those skills.

SASI is the South Australian Sports Institute which has a very strong and proud history of producing excellent athletes that have gone on to represent the country and play internationally as well as numerous athletes who play in our State Competitions and Teams.

AIS Indoor Volleyball is based in Canberra, but Volleyball SA has a strong tie with them in channelling athletes who have potential to represent our Nation internationally in Indoor Volleyball.

AIS Beach Volleyball is based at SASI at Kidman Park and has a long history of producing world-class athletes who compete on the World Beach Volleyball Tour.
