Foundation Coaching Course

VA and VSA recognise that quality coaching has a significant influence on players and their volleyball experiance.In exciting times for Volleyball and in particular coaches, Volleyball Australia has recently updated its Coach Accreditation Framework. The new Coaching Pathway is as follows:

Foundation Coach (new online Module)

Development Coach- replaces Level 1

Advanced Coach- replaces Level 2

High Performance Coach- replaces Level 3 

The new coaching framework has seen a new introductory course be implemented. This course, Foundation Coach, is delivered through the Volleyball Australia online learning platform and as such is more accessiable to would-be coaches. This course is aimed at entry-level (beginner) coaches who are looking to understand the fundamentals of coaching and be involved with volleyball at a particpation level.

Prerequisites: Before starting your Level 1 Foundation Coach online course you will need to have completed the two free Play byThe Rules courses “Child Protection” and “Harassment and Discrimination” free online courses found at https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-coursesIf you are planning on working with children under 18 years of age you will also need to complete a DCSI Working With Children Check.

How do I apply: Visit the 'Ticket & Nomination' page on the VSA website, register and pay.

Cost: $44 (must be VSA member)

What Next?: Once you have registered and paid via the VSA website, you will be emailed a Log-in, Password and link to the online Module. Once this has been completed VA will send you a completion certificate and notify VSA off the new accreditation.
